Help:New user log

DCCWiki, a community DCC encyclopedia.
(Redirected from DCCWiki:New user log)
Jump to: navigation, search

Hi, and welcome to DCCWikipedia! If you're new to our community, drop us a note here and tell us a little bit about yourself. Most important, we would like to know about your interests, your areas of knowledge, and the sorts of things you'd like to work on here at DCCWikipedia. That makes it easier for us to help you start editing. We'd also appreciate it if you told us how you found out about DCCWikipedia.

To add yourself to the list:
  • post a comment,
  • enter your name as the subject/headline (which will make a new header for you in the log), and
  • sign your name at the end of your comment by typing four tildes: ~~~~. (This code makes a link to your user page, which readers can use to welcome you personally if they like).
Your comments will then be added to the bottom of the list.

You may also like to start your own personal DCCWiki user page where you can also write a little more about yourself. Once you get the hang of things, you might want to add some userboxes to your user page.

Finally, you might want to go through the quick start page (5 minutes), and then the Tutorial (15-20 minutes).

An automatically generated list of new users can be found at Special:Log/Newusers.

Figure I might as well be the first to sign this. Please visit my user page for more details about what do around here and what areas I'm interested in. TazzyTazzy 20:11, 16 February 2006 (EST)

Well here goes!! As always I have done some serious editing / contribution on the Sound section. At the moment, having done a profile, I seem unable to access a UserPage. No sweat. I am an experienced DCC operator specialising in on board sound for British 00 steam. I have some experience with British diesel but prefer the steam 'coz I am sixty and remember them well enough. I also have some limited experience with operating full size engines on a preserved railway. "CV" 18:43, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Hello. I am a web developer from a suburb of Seattle, WA. USA. I am also an N Scale Modeler with a major interest in DCC and model railroad operations. I am currently working on my third major layout (this one based on a oNeTrak modular standard). I'll put more on my user page. I use a digitrax system with LocoBuffer-USB connection to Railroad & Co's software, although I am planning on moving to JMRI. NTrackMind 23:25, 5 June 2007 (EDT)
