I didn't see this page when I started the "turntable" page, doh!
Good job there wasn't too much overlap.
Now the bridge polarity stuff is a bit messed up. It seems many turntables are neither type mentioned in the old version of the page, they are "auto-reversing-split-slip-ring". i.e. the slip rings are split in two (much like the "split rail" type described) so that they auto-reverse half way round.
I'm a bit confused about the split rail description too. It seems to me that (unless there is some other reason that forces you to make a stub track the wrong polarity) then you never need a DCC auto-reverser for the bridge feed. You just need to reverse the left/right track feed wires when you wire up a stub track that is beyond the dead zone (left/right looking from the center, that is)
