Yo, Tazzy. Are you there? I'd like to suggest a fairly disruptive change to the wiki. As this seems to be your baby, I'd like to clear it first. You make extensive use of, and have a page 'throttle'. This is not the NMRA preferred usage, or the usage of _most_ DCC manufacturers. The preferred term is 'cab'. Being a throttle is one of the things that a cab can do. Interestingly, throttle seems to be used preferentially by Digitrax, and I see that you are a Digitrax user. Just another thing Digitrax gets wrong :-).

Tazzy, I know I haven't been active here lately, but… is it possible to ban anonymous users from edits. I've been getting email messages about vandalism on my talk page. I assume that this has been happening to others too.

Bob, Ya. I know! It's really really annoying. I've been adding and tinkering with various anti-spam extensions. They have various settings. I just turned on basic captcha for all non-registered user edits of talk pages regardless if the extension thinks it's spam or not - the primary source of spam. This seems to have helped a lot. I need to install the image based captcha and that might get rid of the rest.

Other than the spam, are you liking some of the recent changes around here? I'm no where near done, and I have a lot planned. I just don't have enough time. :-) TazzyTazzy 17:48, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
