DCC Tutorial - Starter Sets

So, we have a starter set and we are ready to jump right into hooking it up, right? OK, but let's slow down and take it one step at a time, and try and keep Mr. Murphy from paying us a surprise visit. I will assume that you have carefully unpacked everything and there are no visibly damaged pieces of equipment, and that the manuals are also there. We should have a command station, a booster, and a throttle at the very least, but some starter sets have the booster built into the case of the command station. We also need a power supply. We are not going to get into how to build a power supply here. I will assume that you have one. When we have finished hooking it all up, it should look something like the diagram below.
