When using JMRI, an error code 301 indicates that JMRI communications with the command station are working, communications with the programming track are not.
It can indicate no connection, dirty track or vehicle wheels preventing good electrical connection with the multifunction decoder, or incorrect wiring of the vehicle being programmed.
