Programming an MTH locomotive with one of their DCC-Compatible decoders.
The original document was written with NCE DCC equipment in mind, but should be applicable to any DCC system.
This process will be done with Operations Mode Programming. See the manuals for the DCC System regarding decoder programming.
- Turn on track power
- Select the locomotive's current address.
- Default Primary Address is "3".
- Enter your DCC system's programming mode.
- Important: Select the Operations Mode (Programming on the Main).
- Follow the process for changing the address.
For an Extended Address, the process is much the same. CV29 may need to be configured manually to enable the Extended Address Mode.
Calculation of the values for CV17 and CV18 may be necessary.
