Versions

Current Version

5.2.7

2024-02-26

  • The new firmware 5.6.142 for LokSound 5 and LokPilot 5 decoders adds Bit 4 to CV 122. This will enforce the slave communication to ESU locomotive motherboards on AUX3, AUX4 outputs. The otherwise automatic detection sometimes fails on older ESU locomotives (like BR151). Further, a new SBB light signal is added for the SignalPilot and some minor bugs in the software are fixed.

Older Versions

This list is not necessarily complete.

5.2.6

  • Includes firmware 5.9.160 for all LokSound 5 decoders.
    • Fixes an issue having a "Plopp-Sound" when using the tone control feature.
  • Includes firmware 1.0.1468 for Pullman / ESU BLS BT9 pilot car which fixes a direction issue when used in DC analog operation.

5.2.5

  • Includes firmware 5.9.159 for all LokSound 5 decoders.
  • Possible to adjust the desired acoustics to the speaker installed there using bass and treble control.
    • CV 196 for bass, CV 197 for treble.
  • Update for Broadway Limited Steam locomotive support.
  • Virtual Drivers Cab: Added sliders for Tone Control
The new tone control is implemented in the decoder's firmware. All that is needed is update the decoder's firmware; the sound files themselves do not need to be changed or reinstalled. This is advantageous for customers who do not have the original project file available.
