Description
This is an upgraded ROM for the Power Cab's companion Smart Booster series.
Unless there is a problem which cannot be solved, or there are not more than three NCE Devices in use and the Smart Booster is version 1.65, upgrading to the B version is unnecessary.
New features in version 1.65B
- All throttles now have up to 6 recalls
- Support for 6 external throttles using Cab Addresses 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7
- Support for 3 cab bus devices such as the AIU, USB or Mini-Panels in addition to the extra throttles. Using Cab Address 8, 9, and 10
- New thumbwheel control of CV programming values
- Easy memory operation of the last thrown turnout
- Support for Analog Fast Clocks
- New and improved USB/computer commands
1.65B fixes a bug for some users who lose cab addresses 5, 8, 9, 10 after a command station reset.
Determine the Firmware Version of a Smart Booster
From the regular loco screen on the cab:
- Press Prog/Esc four times to get to "Set Cmd Station"
- Press Enter
The first thing displayed is the command station version: 1.65 or 1.65B. That is the most recent major versions.
Press Prog/Esc twice to get back to the regular screen
